Library Closed for Labor Day
Forsyth Public Library will be closed Monday, September 6 in honor of Labor Day. We will reopen 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7. We hope you have a very enjoyable holiday.

Page Turners Book Club for Kids Resumes in September
Children in grades 4 – 8 are invited to join Forsyth Public Library's book discussion club, the Page Turners, beginning Tuesday, September 21 from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. in the conference room of the library. We will continue to meet at this same time every two weeks, continuing our reading of the books in Rick Riordan’s popular series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Books will be provided by the library. Advance registration is required.

The Page Turners Book Club is an opportunity for children who like to read to share their interest with others, express themselves creatively, develop reading skills and enjoy fun activities suggested by the books. To learn more about this series of programs, pick up an informational flyer at the library or contact children’s librarian Lorraine Getty by calling 877-8174 or by emailing her at lgettyfpl@yahoo.com.

Try It! It's Easy
While many residents are busy placing books on hold from their home computers, lots of others either don't realize this is possible, or need a little refresher course in how exactly it works. The two essentials are a borrower's card and a PIN number. Come to the library for one or both. The PIN number is a four digit number and is an integral part of the "placing on hold process." Once you have your card and PIN number, follow these easy steps, 1) go to our website at forsythlibrary.com and click on materials search or go to Rolling Prairie Library System and click on HIP to look at the holdings, 2) click on request this item when you find what you want, 3) complete the pop-up box with your card number and PIN number, and 4) select the library where you wish to pick up your item. We'll call you when the item arrives, or send an e-mail if you prefer. If you have any question at all, come in and we'll help you.
