We're finishing off a wonderful fall session of Story Time with Miss Kelsey on Friday, November 22. Come in for some stories about gratitude for all we have and giving thanks for the small things, like piles of leaves to play in, kitten kisses and simply spending time with those we love. Miss Kelsey and FPL would like to give thanks for our awesome patrons, little and big. We wish everyone a memorable Thanksgiving holiday!

2nd Annual Forsyth Public Library Tree Decorating Party
Tuesday, December 3 at 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
All Ages Welcome - Bring the Family!
The holidays are upon us and we’re inviting our patrons, friends and neighbors to join us for a festive evening of family fun. Stop in between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3 to help us decorate our holiday trees, as well as share in some tasty snacks and beverages.
Plus, the kids will want to be here when our special holiday visitor from the North Pole arrives at 4:30. He’ll be handing out treats and listening to Wish Lists. FPL staff will be on hand to take family photos, then email them to you for your holiday greeting cards. At the end of the evening, listen to our guest read the seasonal favorite,
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Join us and watch the library come alive with holiday spirit. Be sure to bring the family and become a part of our new library tradition.
As the Forsyth Public Library looks to update its long-range strategic plan, we are hoping to gather information from community members about their library usage and ways that the library can better serve their needs.

Hey, all you dinosaur fans, don’t miss the DiNovember Party at the Forsyth Library! We’ll have games, a paleontologist dig site, and more. Also, have your picture taken with the one and only, Kelasaurus Rex. It’s going to be a dino-mite day and we’re looking forward to you coming to saurus!

Bring your besties to the library and make some adorable and tradeable friendship bracelets. We’ll have all the supplies you’ll need. Share with anyone you think deserves a little kindness and a little bling or keep them for yourself.

Tech Club at the Library

Join The Tech Guy, Abhi Morisetty, for an informative hour discussing general use of your devices, as well as making them more secure. Anyone aged 16 and up is welcome to attend. The meetings will be free of charge and no registration is necessary. Simply drop in during the program time and let The Tech Guy help make your life even easier.
Pokemon Club has been changed from Thursday, November 14 to this afternoon, Thursday, November 7 at 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

They say "There's no such thing as a free lunch" but Rise Broadband and the Forsyth Library beg to differ. Register for Bingo! at the Library by 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 8. Rise Broadband is providing a tasty free lunch from McAllister's for you to enjoy during their presentation regarding their services. Bingo will begin at 1:00 with some special prizes, such as Roku and Amazon Fire Streaming Sticks, as well as gift cards from local businesses also provided by Rise Broadband. Registration is required by calling the library at 217-877-8174 by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8. Don't miss out on some great food and fun games with friends!

Many of us have someone who served or is serving our country to keep us safe and free. Stop into the library to make a card to show your love to your favorite veteran.

It’s DiNovember and we’re celebrating our favorite gone-but-not-forgotten creatures. Bring the kids into the library for popcorn and the movie, The Good Dinosaur.
Synopsis of The Good Dinosaur:
In a world where dinosaurs didn’t become extinct, a young Apatosaurus is carried off by a powerful river current and ends up far away from his home. He begins the journey home to his family and makes friends with a prehistoric human child along the way.
Adult Team Trivia Night
Thursday, November 7 - 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Ages 16+
Registration Required
Create your own team and join us for a four-round trivia match-up. There will be pizza, drinks and dessert available, with a prize for the winning team. Teams can be 2 members or more, with a maximum team size of 5 members. Registration is required as space is limited.
